One of the best sites I've found that describes adapting cameras to slitlamps and other ophthalmic and laboratory microscopes is located at "Making Digital Camera Microscope Adapters" by Richard J. Kinch, PhD. The site has both good descriptions written by Dr. Kinch and dozens of photographs of custom designed adaptors. This may be just what you're looking for if you want to upgrade an older slitlamp or fundus camera with a higher resolution digital camera, but don't know where to start.

Attaching your iPhone to a slitlamp to take quick photographs is growing in popularity among clinicians.
The following two adaptors are specific to the iPhone. It has been reported that they can be used on Model 900 Haag Streit slitlamps.

KeelerUSA

PhotoDoc

Here is a third one with the caveat that I have not yet been able to determine if it can be used on slitlamps, but it is shown to work on other microscopes:

SkyLight

The SkyLight model is designed to work with any smartphone. If anyone has tested this on a slitlamp, or if you know of other adaptors, please drop us an email and we'll post the information here. .
