CLEVER Eye Institute Announces Collaboration with Two New CLEVER Investigators

 

SLIDELL, Louisiana, August 15, 2013 - The CLEVER Eye Institute of Slidell, Louisiana is pleased to announce the addition of two local optrometrists to the CLEVER Investigator Team.

 

Dr. Earl "Ty" Primo, OD and Dr. Mark Siverd, OD are independent optometrists in the community who have a strong interest in contributing to vision research and to the mission of CLEVER. In particular, Drs. Siverd and Primo will be contributing to our nutritional studies of age-related macular degeneration and other vision diseases. Among our many projects, the CLEVER research team, headed by Dr. Michael K. Smolek, PhD, FARVO is currently working on nutrition-based computer modeling with the intent of announcing our findings at the ARVO annual conference in Orlando, Florida in 2014.
